FAQ
Is breathwork safe for everyone?
Breathwork is generally safe for healthy adults, but certain medical conditions are contraindicated—for example aneurysm history, seizure disorders, and pregnancy. Other conditions (high blood pressure, glaucoma, recent surgery, severe mental‑health diagnoses, etc.) require a doctor’s clearance before you join. Always review the full informed‑consent waiver and check with your healthcare provider if you’re unsure.
I’m pregnant—can I still attend a session?
No. Deep, rapid breathing can put stress on the body and is not recommended during pregnancy. Please wait until after delivery (and your doctor’s approval) before scheduling.
What should I bring and wear?
Comfortable, loose‑fitting clothes you can move in A water bottle Optional: yoga mat, light blanket, journal All other props (bolsters, eye pillows) are provided for in‑person sessions.
Do I need any prior experience?
None at all. Sherri guides every session step‑by‑step, explaining each breath pattern and offering modifications for beginners or those with limited mobility.
Can I book a virtual session?
Yes—private 1‑on‑1 and the 30‑minute “Mini Reset” are both available over secure Zoom. Just select a “Virtual” slot in the booking calendar.
How many people can join a small‑group circle?
Small‑group sessions are designed for 3–8 participants. This keeps the space intimate while still benefiting from collective energy. For larger corporate or retreat groups, contact Sherri directly for a custom quote.
I have anxiety / a trauma history—what if strong emotions surface?
Sherri is a certified trauma‑informed facilitator. Emotional releases (tears, laughter, shaking) are normal and welcomed; you’ll be safely supported and grounded before you leave. You may stop or modify the practice at any time.
Are children or teens allowed?
Yes—family sessions are available by request and teens often benefit greatly. Children under 12 should participate only in a dedicated family breath session so pacing and language can be adjusted.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations or reschedules made 24 hours or more in advance receive a full refund or credit. Same‑day cancellations are non‑refundable but may be credited toward a future session at Sherri’s discretion.
